Hi all,
Well a very successful series of gigs. All three were great fun and greatly appreciated by the people there.
It was nice to have a relaxing day on Sunday though I must admit. Went to Scogs for breakfast (well brunch I guess as it was noon) then back home to catch up on some sleep in front of the TV.
It was a lazy day but why not?

I guess the next thing to do is write or decide on the next single as we are booked to record it on June 11th. There’s nothing like a booked studio to focus the mind.
I’ve noticed an interesting and promising trend recently as far as the band is concerned; a few people have come to us to make bookings rather than us having to go to them. Maybe people have finally realised that when they book The Clan they get a reliable, experienced and entertaining band who deliver somewhat more than many of the bands they book. Let’s hope the trend continues.
I’m not stupid though, I do realise that a venue’s main objective is really how many people turn up (if charging) and how much money they take over the bar, so many are not that bothered as to the quality of the band. It’s about the numbers, however in my experience the more people enjoy themselves the more they turn up and the more they drink.
On the downside, still no further news about the Wheatsheaf festival in Preston but no news is good news, right?
Still haven’t changed my strings, will definitely do this before the Old Market Tavern. Actually there are quite a few small jobs I need to do relating to equipment. As we have a scheduled weekend off this week it may be a good opportunity.
Right,
Until next time
Keep Rockin’
