Hi all,
Well there was only the one gig last weekend which was at the Red Cat. Place was heaving when we arrived but it was people watching the Liverpool/Newcastle football game of course. Needless to say quite a few left when it finished.
Anyway, we set- up the gear and experienced a strange effect. I was tuning my guitar and sound was coming out from somewhere. This was rather odd as my Amplifier was on standby (in other words off). A bit of investigation revealed that it was coming from the Pub speakers, turned out they had a wireless microphone used for quiz nights and it was on my guitar frequency. Turning their receiver off solved that one. Never had that before and you think you’ve seen it all. We live and learn.
Gig itself went well and whilst not the most visibly or audibly appreciative crowd the feedback afterwards was all positive.
I was home less than five minutes after leaving there which really doesn’t happen very often and made a nice change.
I really must change my strings this week.
So Wednesday night I’m out to film the next of my “gear” videos then a couple of gigs booked this weekend which I’ll mention later in the week.
So until then
Keep Rockin’
Craig
