It’s true, three good gigs last weekend including two venues new to us.
Started off on Friday with a crackin’ gig at The Springfield in St Helens. The audience included these guys (Last Bastion ) who helped to swell the crowd numbers.
Best night we have had there yet, we return in June.
Saturday had us heaading back up the M6 to Morecambe. Not to the Bath this time but just round the corner on the Prom at The Queens. Only recently under new Management, a good sized venue with friendly staff. It might take a while to build up the right crowd but the folks that were there really enjoyed us and we enjoyed them enjoying us. Back there in July.
Sunday – yes Sunday and an early evening gig at Whittles Rock pub in Oldham. A bit tired from the previous two late nights but it was only a short one hour set before the venue’s regular “Jam Night”. This one had a house PA and a sound engineer so no need to cart too much gear with us. We actually kicked off at 6pm and did 60 minutes of mixed covers/originals which seemed to go down well with the sizeable audience. We certainly didn’t do ourselves any harm at all. The only downside is that the venue is closing at the end of April. Still, at least Oldham now knows what we do. We wish good luck to all the staff.
Next up for us – Saturday – a Local gig at The Red Cat – Greasby, Wirral. Another first for us. Looking forward to it.
So it’s all good at the moment, single is being well received both Live and on download.
Keep rockin’
