Well this week we only have the one gig – A local one at The Red Cat in Greasby, Wirral. Not a venue known for bands in the past but they have had a few recently so we’ll see how it goes. On the plus side there is a good raised area to play on and people can see quite easily so as long as there are folks there it should be good.
Probably use the reduced speaker set-up, don’t want to frighten anyone into thinking we are too loud. We play at the same volume regardless to be honest but some gear looks like it is louder than others to the casual observer.
I’m quite looking forward to it.
Need to change my strings beforehand though, since the last restringing I have had tuning problems so time for a new set.
I’ve booked a studio in June for recording the next single as well. It is still some time away but it should focus me on writing it. I have a few ideas and options but it will definitely be a new original track. We couldn’t get Parr Street this time (our favourite Studio) so we will be in Whitby – Ellesmere Port. Our Producer Russ Cottier tells me it is well equipped and will give us a good sound.
Next week is probably filming another video in my “Gear” series. We might even film the next two at the same time. The last one has now had 1500 viewings; basically it doubled since Jimmy Page commented on it.
Ok bye for now.
